The main purpose of the project is the development of the creation technique of OLAP-reports on various aspects of enterprise activity, and the most critical reports realization using this technique. The given technique is based on gaining and processing of the corporate information and the information from external sources with application of the specialized software of gaining, storage and representation of the information, and also software of the multidimensional analytical analysis (Business Objects).

It is known, that basic differences between OLAP and OLTP systems are:

1) Documents handling 2) Internal data only 3) Relevant data 4) It is possible more than one DB 5) Queries set is limited 6) Fickleness of data

1) Activities handling 2) External and internal data 3) Historical data 4) United data warehouse 5) Queries set is unlimited 6) Static character of data

Enterprises applying the system SAP R/3 in industry use it mistakenly for an analytical reporting. But such use is incorrect, since the system SAP R/3 belongs to the class of OLTP-system and needs the sizeable resources while analytical data processing. Also it is possible to note that the operational data of this system are not enough for a reporting of whole enterprise.

The classical solution of the problem of authentic, complete and relevant information availability for the analytical tools is the united data warehouse building and the special task-oriented data marts in the case of necessity. In this case for the reporting it is necessary to use special software oriented to multidimensional analytical data processing.

In this project the oil enterprise is considered. For the purpose of integration and structuring of the information from heterogeneous sources of the enterprise there has been proposed the building of data warehouse and the set of multidimensional cubes inclusive the detailed data and the aggregated data.
